    The Urge - A Poem

     

    The Urge

    I feel a poem coming on,

    but its not here yet.

    It’s still down deep inside.

     

    I want to write it,

    but it isn’t quite right.

    I feel for it in the dark.

     

    It’s still in my belly;

    churning, burning,

    working up.

     

    It wants to get out,

    but it is not complete.

    I grab for another piece.

     

    I can’t force it,

    but I’m scared I’ll lose it.

    I wait as it trickles.

     

    It might be days.

    When it does reach my lips,

    it will be sweet.

    Hi Theresa! Its been awhile since I`ve visited here.......words go around and round in my head and I start putting together what I`m going to write but.......the computer takes a few minutes to load up I`m listening to sermons on the radio and kids need something.....and when I`m ready .....I blank out....oh well it will come back in a couple of days when someone says the word.....light bulb goes on.......and I remember! By the way I like the 2nd pict you look like your having fun.........the chore great idea...you take care Theresa .........nancy

    Sometimes I have to write journals of my thoughts just to be able to bring them together in one piece of work!  However, with the ones you do provide us are worth a million dollars.  Keep them coming my friend!

    This really appeals to me because I often feel like this poem.  Good news is I know that we're all clay in the Potter's hands and He's got everything under control...He's quite the artist it turns out!

    Fits for me, we often feel those times in which we are a work in progress not yet complete.  I think of how we are all clay in the Potter's hands..we're being shaped and molded but our time will come.
